BEACH PARK — The bright, nature-inspired, impressionistic artwork of Linda Doyle is coming to a gallery showing in Beach Park.
The public is invited to enjoy “Light-Filled Landscapes” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at Cracken Cakes & More, 38594 N. Sheridan Road. The owner of the bakery, Beach Park resident Dora Lee McCracken, said she met Doyle during a networking event in Lake Forest and fell in love with her work.
“Doyle is an amazing artist,” McCracken said. “Her use of color reflects light in such a way that it appears as though it is glowing from within. I’m excited to share her talent and introduce her work to others.”
A 1985 fine arts graduate of Edinboro University in Pennsylvania, Doyle lives in Mundelein, where she operates an instructional studio called Crave Art.
She said she considers her painting a daily devotion to God and the natural world.
Doyle will be available to talk art and answer questions at the show, which also will feature some of the many delectable treats available at Cracken Cakes & More.
